What is Architecture actually for?

Every two years, the landmark architecture exhibition Venice Architecture Biennale includes a major architect as the featured guest, as well as a smattering of architects from a variety of nations who put on smaller shows. For this year, the La Biennale features Chilean architect Alejandro Aravena.

His challenge to architects around the world is well known to those shaping New York’s urban landscape. He focuses on the global forces promoting individual gain over collective prosperity, and challenges his colleagues to “look at reality,” and “imagine different and alternative solutions.”

We could fill a book with what this means to us at FSC.
